This policy explains what personal data Exceleris Consulting collects when you use this website or engage us as a client, why we collect it, and the rights you hold over it.
When you contact us through the site we collect the name, email address, company and message you give us. We use them only to answer you and, where an engagement follows, to run it.
Our servers record standard technical data with every request — IP address, browser and operating system, the pages you opened and when. This is kept for security and for diagnosing faults.
The site stores your answer to the cookie notice in your browser so that we do not ask again. Analytics cookies are set only after you accept; if you reject, none are set and nothing is sent to third parties.
You can clear cookies for this site in your browser at any time, which brings the notice back.
We process contact data on the basis of your consent or, once you are a client, to perform the contract between us. Technical logs are processed under our legitimate interest in keeping the site available and secure. Some records are kept because tax and company law requires it.
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with the providers that run this site and our business systems — hosting, email and analytics — and only as far as they need it to provide that service, and with professional advisers or authorities where the law requires.
Enquiries that do not become engagements are deleted after twenty-four months. Client records are kept for seven years after the engagement ends, which is the period our tax and professional obligations require. Technical logs are kept for twelve months.
You may ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to restrict or stop processing, or withdraw consent you have given. We answer within one month.
If you are in the UK or the EU and are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to your national data protection authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office.
We update this policy when our practices change; the date above always shows the current version. Questions about this policy go to our contact page, or by post to Exceleris Ltd., 20 Wenlock Road, London, N1 7GU, Great Britain.
